The Draper Access is a ceiling recessed projection screen that is all about flexibility, to the point where you can install the Access case before you have even decided which projector or projectors you are going to use, what screen surface to get depending on the seating arrangements, and before you just how controllable the light it going to be.
The Access screen allows you to install just the case during the construction or fit-out stage of building and then later fit the screen viewing surface, which contains the motor in the roller, when everything is finished and clean and every aspect of the projection environment has been decided. All you have to know when fitting the case is what the maximum size is that you could possibly want the screen to be and where it is going to go. Once the case is installed you can install any size of screen up to the maximum in just about any of Drapers comprehensive range of screen surfaces.
The Access concept is a well thought out system from Draper and to provide real comprehensiveness to the system the Access screen is available in a number of different series and models, including masking systems, which should cover just about every type of screen installation out there.

You can get an Access screen to fit into your preinstalled Access case in just about any surfaces that Draper make:
All models/Series E & M are available in;
- Matt White
- Glass Beaded
- High Contrast Grey
- AT1200
- AT Grey
All models/Series V are available in;
- M1300
- M2500
- HiDef
- Cineflex, Drapers rear projection surface
To explain what each of the surfaces do and which one would be suitable for your particular projection environment, here is Draper’s explanation of each surface:
Matt White—Diffuses projected light in all directions, so image can be seen from any angle. Has accurate color rendition and superior clarity. Requires control of ambient light in the audience area. Washable, flame and mildew resistant.
Glass Beaded—Spherical glass beads embedded in surface provide brighter on-axis viewing than Matt White, within a narrower viewing cone. Glass Beaded surfaces have some loss of clarity and perform best with table-mounted projectors. Flame and mildew resistant. Cannot be cleaned. Seamless in standard sizes through 10´ high.
High Contrast Grey—Grey surface offers excellent resolution while enhancing blacks, even as whites and lighter colors are maintained. Performs well in ambient light. Lower gain of 0.8 allows use with even the brightest projectors. Seamless in sizes up to 8´ in height.
AT1200 and AT Grey—Similar in gain performance to Matt White, with acoustical properties comparable to the finest speaker grille cloth. Washable, flame and mildew resistant. Available in sizes through 72˝ x 96˝ or 10´ NTSC diagonal. AT1200 is white; AT Grey is grey for high contrast. Acoustically transparent fabrics are not recommended for screens smaller than 80˝ wide when used with LCD or DLP projectors.
M1300—The perfect Matt White diffusing surface. For use with any type of projector in rooms where light can be reasonably controlled. Washable.
M2500—A high-contrast front viewing surface with excellent resolution and high gain. M2500 tolerates a higher ambient light level than most other front projection screen surfaces.
HiDef Grey—A grey front projection surface that provides excellent contrast and black reproduction with a low gain to handle today’s super-bright projectors. Enhances color contrast, black levels and allows for more ambient light.
Cineflex—A neutral grey vinyl for rear projection. Cineflex has high resolution and excellent contrast, even in lighted rooms. For use with any type of projection equipment. Lower Gain version of Cineflex is also available with peak gain of 0.8.
Once the decision of which screen surface has been made you need to figure out what format the screen should be and how big or small it should be. The first part, the format, will be easy as you just select the one that is the same is your projector. Deciding on the size however, can be a little bit more involved, for the correct size depends on a number of factors, such as viewing distance, how high on the wall the screen sits, and how far across audience members will be sitting.
Below are the sizes and formats that each of the models and series of the Access come in:

What are SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates, and what do they mean to you?
These certificates are issued by a number of institutions, such as VeriSign, Equifax & GoDaddy, and they provide a secure connection between your computer and the computer that is running the checkout you are using. They verify the identity of the remote computer to you, so you know that the site you are using is who they say they are, and proves they are a trusted retailer and not someone trying to steal your credit card details. And it provides your identity to the remote computer, so they know you are not someone trying to hack into their checkout. Then as the data is being sent back and forth over the internet, the SSL certificate encrypts the data, so that no one can “listen in” to the data packets and pinch your credit card details.
All in all it provides you with the necessary peace of mind to purchase online, by ensuring everything is as it appears to be.
